Veeam v12 migrate from SQL server to PostgreSQL

In this blog I will explain how to migrate the configuration database from SQL to PostgreSQL. This is only a Backup and Replication server so no Enterprise Manager.
The first step what we need to do is to stop and disable the jobs.

The second step what we need to do is to create a configuration database backup.

The next step is to restore the configuration database from backup.
In the migration step you can choose to restore to a PostgreSQL database.

The last step is finish the configuration and check the next things:
1). Check a configuration backup is working
2). If you also migrate the Repo’s do a remap
3). Enable the jobs so you have a backup again.

After the console is started and everything is working you can stop and disable the SQL server services on the backup server so that everything is running on postgreSQL.
